Elementalism Beginner's Guide
In Elementalism, you create your character, choose an element, and join its corresponding nation. From there, you explore the world, complete quests, master your element and class, fight players and bosses, join world events, and even go fishing.
What is Elementalism?
Elementalism is an Action RPG that previously went by the name Elemental Legacy. Your starting element determines your nation alignment and influences your early playstyle.
As you progress, you can relive the classic fantasy roleplay formula through exploration, questing, element and class mastery, nation-focused gameplay, world events, boss fights, PvP, and long-term progression systems.

Elementalism Beginner's Progression Path
Your first priority should be increasing Mastery so you can use elemental skills. This raises your combat power for easier quests and unlocks movement skills that greatly speed up travel.
After unlocking your core abilities, start questing in your chosen village. Quests reward Aureus (currency) and can also grant additional useful items.
If you want to switch class, go to Settings (press N, then click the cogwheel), enable NPC Indicators, and choose ClassChangers. Current options are Elementalist, Warrior, Ninja, and Fighter.
Once you choose a class, talk to your subclass trainer to unlock new subclass skills (for example Sound, Metal, Healing, or Blood Manipulation). This requires 30 Mastery and 2,500 Aureus.
You can later learn a sub-skill by talking to a sub-skill teacher. This requires 100 Mastery and 7,500 Aureus.
As a bonus progression path, choose one specialty such as Gathering, Stealth, Endurance, or Hunting. You can switch specialties by changing mentors, but all progress on your previous specialty will be lost.
Elements in Elementalism
- Fire - Aggressive and relentless. Fire excels at pressure, explosive offense, and punishing hesitation. It embodies destruction, power, vitality, and energy.
- Air - Swift and elusive. Air focuses on mobility, evasion, and precision strikes that overwhelm through speed rather than force.
- Water - Adaptive and controlled. Water emphasizes flow, defense, and turning an opponent's strength against them. It represents change, acceptance, and resilience.
- Earth - Steady and unyielding. Earth prioritizes durability, power, and battlefield control through raw force. It represents stability, endurance, and immovable strength.
Classes in Elementalism
Elementalist - Specialized in manipulating specific matter elements through energy. They focus on fire, air, water, or earth and can branch into variants such as plant, sand, or combustion.
Ninja - Fully abandons elemental matter manipulation, specializing instead in acrobatics, flexibility, body enhancement, gadgets, and weapon utility.
Fighter - Uses energy mainly for physical enhancement and fighting styles. Fighters gain unique style skills and can imbue those styles with their element.
Warrior - Uses energy for physical enhancement while focusing on weapon mastery. Warriors gain weapon skills and can imbue their weapon attacks with their element.
